This technology is a current sensor based on low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) substrate and Rogowski coil methodology.

About

This technology is a current sensor based on low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) substrate and Rogowski coil methodology that can be integrated conveniently in power module to measure current at high temperature. Traditional silicon power modules require complicated thermal management with large cooling system, which reduces the overall efficiency, power density, and cost of overall system.

Key Benefits

* The capability to measure current at higher temperature than traditional integrated current measurement method * Ready to be integrated in power module with surface mount package design * Very limited impact on the switching performance of power module because of the low parasitic inductance in the proposed current sensor

Applications

* High power high temperature SiC power module * Photovoltaic inverter * Solid-state transformer * Electric vehicle * Aerospace inverter * Electric traction * Pulse power supply * Motor drive
