UARK developed a novel anti-fouling membrane to be use in membrane distillation for the treatment of fracking wastewater.

About

The University of Arkansas developed a novel anti-fouling membrane to be use in membrane distillation for the treatment of fracking wastewater. The chemistry and geometry of our novel membrane is such that it reduces fouling and failing as compared to current commercial membranes.

Key Benefits

Our membrane significantly reduces fouling as compared to current commercial membranes, thus increasing the life of the membrane and efficiency of the process.

Applications

Any process that produces large amount of wastewater can benefit from this product as an alternative for water treatment.
