The ProCeas Air uses two patents : OFCEAS IR laser technology with an enhanced cavity and the Low Pressure Sampling System for a fast response time.
About
The ProCeas® is a computerized device that measures the amount of gas contained in the process or in the air in real time. Gases are measured in parts per million (ppm by volume), as a percentage (%) or in milligrams per normal cubic meter (mg/Nm3) in the sample. In some case, ppb or even ppt level can be reached (part per billion or respectively part per trillion). The analysis is performed by infrared laser spectroscopy. The sampling of the gas is continuously performed by being pumped. In this manner, the sampled gas is continuously analyzed. Two patented technics, the Optical-Feedback Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy (OFCEAS) and Low Pressure Sampling (LPS) are contributing to the measurement capability of the system.
Key Benefits
Continuous measurement Multi components High resolution laser technology Patented OFCEAS IR laser technology No optical moving parts Patented Low Pressure Sampling System No instrument air consumption Maintenance: yearly Measurement without interferences regardless of the matrix High sensitivity Self-calibrating system (no span gases required) Very fast response time Ultra-precise measurement Negligible drift High availability of the system No water condensation from sampling point to analyzer due to Low Pressure Sampling
Applications
The gas analyzer can be used in several applications. One of the application is for the measurement of greenhouse gases. For example in the agricultural research with CO2, N2O, CH4, H2O... here we can measure the soil gas flux. We also can measure NH3 amonia for research center, especially in anticipation of particules emission from slurry campaigns. An other application is for the control of impurities in industrial gases, for example : gas bottle, span gas. The analyzer can also be used for the measurement of some impurities in the hydrogen used for fuel cell (H2O, CH4, CO2, CO, HCHO, HCOOH, NH3, H2S, HCl, O2...) regarding ISO 14687 limits. An other application is for safety reason in ambient air. For example, the measurement of formaldehyde HCHO in wood panels factory is important to ensure the safety of the operator. An other application is for greenhouse gases in ambient air for global warming research. The device can be also used to measure NH3 and H2S to control the smell around refineries and chemical plants or waste landfills or wastewater. An other application is to control the aggressive compounds in the air to avoid corrosion for semiconductor production. ...
