Historically, numerous plant extracts and plant phytochemicals have been tested but often with inconsistent results mainly due to phytochemical profile inconsistency. To obtain reliability in potency and efficacy two aspects are of major importance: • To have the right genetics ensuring stable amounts of critical compounds • To have the right growing environment to ensure qualitative and quantitative consistency. We have isolated and selected several elite phenolic phytochemical-producing clonal lines, all species belonging to the family Lamiaceae. We have developed a rapidly scalable cultivation strategy for these lines, optimising the desired quality traits whilst simultaneously delivering consistently high yields. Through use of extracts of these specifically selected herbs we create the potential to deliver consistent anti-microbial and anti-oxidant efficacy.
