Business Summary Flying SpArk is developing a technology to produce superior animal protein out of fruit fly larvae; finding new ways of incorporating larvae protein into food products for human consumption, on an industrial scale. The technology combines farming and processing the larvae; it is an extremely efficient biological factory, transforming fruit surplus into high quality protein powders with a minimal ecological footprint. Why fruit fly larva? In many regions of the world insects have been traditionally an integral part of human diet; currently supplements the diet of approximately 2 Billion people.
