About
AirPlus’ patented innovation is a concept and design of wind turbines that will take the technology from large-scale wind farms that are currently operational, to a solution that can be widely deployed globally within existing urban infrastructure and harness energy from previously inaccessible sources such as urban multi-storey building environments, airflow caused due to traffic at/near point of use.
Key Benefits
Our innovation is radically different – by orienting the horizontal wind turbine parallel to the ground whilst maintaining rotation, we can locate generators on both sides of the turbine, resulting in a significant increase in power generation and allowing continuous urban deployment.
Applications
With a projected 50% energy use increase by 2050, deployment needs to be rapid and streamlined to ensure clean, efficient energy. Our solution will address this priority and help the UK achieve Net-Zero 2050 by providing the wind turbine industry with more efficient wind turbines and encouraging planners to be carbon-neutral and use energy-efficient technology where possible. This will set an environmentally-friendly precedent for other renewable energy and related industries, alongside the wider UK.
