we connect internal and external variables to create building digital twin and an accurate prediction of its energy need, for an autonomous and optimized operation of HVAC machines

About

The Predictive Company (TPC) is a spin-off of a project started at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona and has been funded through The Collider program, a Deep-Tech business creation program of the Mobile World Capital Foundation. At TPC, we have developed an energy efficiency software based on artificial intelligence for non-residential buildings that connects the internal data with external variables to create its digital twin and makes an accurate prediction of its energy need, for an autonomous and optimized operation of HVAC machines (heating, ventilation, air conditioning). This allows energy savings and a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to 30% for that system. Our technology also comes with a predictive maintenance solution. Since it is based on self-learning neural algorithms, we can detect small failures in the machine before they become a more serious issue. The best part of our solution is that no device installation is needed. We can connect to the BMS (or SCADA system) of any building and from there, extrapolate the necessary data to run our program. TPC's main advantages are: • Energy and cost savings • Reduction of CO2 emissions • Better comfort for users • Automation of tasks of facility managers • Longer life of HVAC machines

Key Benefits

• Energy and cost savings • Reduction of CO2 emissions • Better comfort for users • Automation of tasks of facility managers • Longer life of HVAC machines

Applications

Currently, the company has considered indirect distribution as an option for distribution. TPC is intended for energy service companies (ESCOs) and Facility Management Services as an indirect business model to reach a larger customer base with less commercial effort at first. They are interested in including extra sophistication to their services and are attractive to us as they already manage thousands of buildings. Additionally, to the ESCOs, various operators such as maintenance companies, engineering companies, software providers participate in advising on the reduction of energy consumption, therefore, they could also operate as service distributors if TPC does not do it directly.
