Wordnerds is a SaaS platform offering NLP and linguistics-based text analysis, which we combine with social listening to offer organisations unparalleled insight into their market. Working with Northumbrian Water on a Proof of Concept, we identified that often customers reporting leaks were doing so to the wrong organisation - often tagging in the council, rather than their water provider. Poor communication / untimely responses between the council and the water company can cost £££ in wastewater every year. Our platform can be configured to find instances of people reporting leaks via Twitter, both tweets aimed at water companies and those that aren’t, in real time. We can target specific geographical areas, and using AI we can identify relevant tweets irrespective of the vocabulary used to describe the leak. Once a tweet has been established by the platform as a leak issue, it will trigger an email alert to the water provider so that they can deal with the problem instantly.
