Alga Seaweed Ltd is a pioneering Irish company revolutionizing the seaweed industry with sustainable practices and innovative technology. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join us as a Co-Founder. This role is critical in scaling our business, driving innovation, and ensuring the success of our modular seaweed processing units.

About the Role:

As a Co-Founder, you will be instrumental in shaping our company's strategy and scaling our operations. You will work closely with our team to enhance our seaweed processing technology, build key relationships with strategic partners, and lead important projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finance: Develop and refine the financial and business plans to attract investment, aiming for a major product launch. Manage applications for grants and oversee investor reporting.
• Collaborative Working: Build and nurture strategic partnerships and manage commercial contracts across the supply chain.
• Scaling Operations and Strategy: Drive operational scaling, lead special projects, and provide expertise on key business topics related to market intelligence and business development.

Ideal Candidate:

• Commercialisation Skills: Proven ability to scale and operate process technology effectively.
• B2B Strategy Experience: Track record in developing and implementing successful B2B customer strategies.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Hands-on experience as an entrepreneur or a strong desire to lead a start-up venture.
• Dynamic and Productive: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and with enthusiasm.
• Passion for Sustainability: Deep commitment to environmental impact and advancing sustainable practices.
• Energy and Vision: Bring significant positivity and drive to lead projects with a vision for creating value from sustainable seaweed products.

Background:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Management, Business, or related field.
• Demonstrable experience in a startup environment, preferably in a leadership role.
• Global operational experience.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the seaweed industry, sustainable technology, or related fields.
• Knowledge of scaling new technology within a hardware or processing context.
