Ecorrcrate Durability

The Ecorrcrate is more durable than a wood crate in many ways - specifically it is a non-brittle product, so it is shatterproof / shatter-resistant. Wood crates can experience catastrophic failure with as little as 1 forklift impact. Ecorrcrate will not because it flexes and does not lose structural integrity from forklift impacts. Companies switch to Ecorrcrate to reduce / eliminate damage. Ecorrcrate has not had a single reported failure in more than 6 years.

Ecorrcrate Sustainability

Ecorrcrate is more sustainable than wood crates. Wood and Corrugate are both sustainable materials and upfront would be comparable. However, at the backend there is no comparison. Wood crates are thrown in the dumpster all the time and there are no recycling programs for wood. The Ecorrcrate parts and components can go in any standard paper / corrugated recycle stream. Ecorrcrate also has Ecorr runners, which can eliminate the need for a wood pallet underneath, but if you require a wood pallet, that can be disposed of separately. You can put the pallet in your parking lot and a million refurb pallet resellers will come pick it up and may even give you a few bucks for it.

Wood crates are not disposable and very expensive to manage the disposal process.

Ecorrcrate Discovery and Introduction to the Market

Freight carriers still do not know what Ecorrcrate is or where to source. Most tend to think the Ecorrcrate is just another corrugated gaylord or normal corrugated box. I believe freight carriers handle Ecorrcrate more gently than they do wood crates because of the corrugated appearance.

Highly water-resistant - yes, the EcorrShield will repel a massive amount of water in wet, rainy, or snowy conditions, but that is only the 1st line of defense. When Ecorrcrate is exposed to the elements and experiences unfavorable conditions, the water will run down the sides of the Ecorrcrate. But rather than sneak under the corrugated and then into the inside of the crate, the water will “Wick” up into the corrugated flutes. Ecorrcrate Customers have not seen an Ecorrcrate that had enough moisture applied that the water actually penetrated to the interior of the crate.
