Do you have scientific and/or engineering Data and don't know how to start to Analyse and Visualise it, let alone use it to gain insights and improvements?

Basic Data Analysis and Visualisation can be achieved with Excel. But how can you handle large and/or varying data sets, or complex algorithms/manipulation, especially when you do not know where to start looking for insights, etc.?

In the first instance you need to understand the Data and any challenges related to missing entries, noise/smoothing, etc.

Matlab is a great tool for exploring Data and the possible insights and improvements to processes, worklflows, productivity, as well as possibilities of applying AI and Machine Learning. This can be done with the inbuilt Apps/Wizards without needing any coding, allowing a range of approaches to be easily investigated and compared.

Further, I have been working with Excel (including VBA), MathWorks Matlab and Relational SQL Databases for many years. But, in the past when I have needed some integration between these 3 tools, it has required a significant amount of effort to handle, add Meta Data, coding, etc. which is not accessible to most people.

However, I have now developed a standalone Matlab App which integrates the process. Once built the App can be distributed and used freely without requiring any licensing, using the free Runtime Library.

In essence the App allows Excel Data files forming a Dataset to be read, imported into a SQL Database (along with Meta Data). Then multiple Datasets can be visualised with selectable Plots included in Reports created from a Template and saved as .PDF and Word files.

Whilst I have been developing for a specific customer requirement, it is straightforward to use the same methodology to suit any bespoke requirements.

All the capabilities of MathWorks Matlab are available including all of the Plots, Data handling, AI/Machine Learning, etc.

Please do get in touch to discuss any requirements/challenges you have with Data, Excel, SQL Server, Matlab, etc., to arrange a demonstration, etc.
